1/7/11 1st of july day 25
we are still near Luciana by the river. It has been a fine little cloudy day, perfect for relaxing and taking time off. we washed all our clothes dishes,
and did some sowing as well as fixing melissa's panier rack.we took apart the tires for our first time.. very exciting felt like we actually knew something
about bikes, discovering 4 punctures to many holes and not enough patches we put the bike back together with miki proud of being able to do it on her own.
Twice we left all of our belongings behind and walked to luciana to play the game " find-a-shop" as no signs apear in front of any doors you have to guess...
and sometimes get it wrong....P>S melissa was asked if she was from Romania haha turning into a real little gypsy.
3/7/11 day 27
In Ciudad Real. We didn't leave our gypsy camp untill yesterday evening, so we spent 2nights and 3 days and are so gratefull to the road engenier guy with the
unpronouncable name for taking us there. We already miss the place but we had to get back on the road again. Its still cloudy wich means we can keep cycling
during the day aswell, we also sort of fixed our tyres at a gas station by patching half of the holes!
7/7/11 day 31
Its been a month now and days are going quicker than ever, full of new faces and places. Spanish people are so incredibly freindly and helpfull, we have been
invited to peoples homes to cool down and have a drink, been offered food, people have helped by providing tools, motivating, cheering, being inquisitive, we
have even been offered a foursome! hahaha.. beer smokes pot, the list goes on. WE have eaten turkey and rabbit stew, camped in the most amazing places, slept
in a spiky field. in a park against a road viaduct, we have been chased away trying to camp in what looked quite possibly like a dump site by the
escavator, been caught by the police for having a fire in the national park, (at least melissa finally agreed to get a gas stove..what progress!) And now we
are under a massive tree bearing unknowen fruit, in the middle of nowhere, a creek full of crey fish flowing by. Somewhere n Don Quijote's fotsteps.
And it's all been a wrong turn after a wrong turn into somewhere "oh look that looks interesting!"
Life is good, we make a good team an spirit is higher than ever...even despite today's hangover :)
