Chapter II SPAIN

19/06/11 Day 12

First of all - we're in Spain, to be more accurate, Encinasola. Nothing interesting in this town, but we had to stop here, cos the heat of the day abd
we had no water left what so ever.
Crossing the border without any border control was a bit weird, we really wanted some stamps in our passports, specially MElissa. I knew that there woun't
be any control because of EU but she was a bit worried not checking in the country..go figure those non EU members..
We were in heaven and went a bit mad with shopping because everything is soooo much cheaper in here than Portugal, specially bread, wich we found extra
expensive in Portugal. And finding camping spots and access to rivers is much easier as well.
In one word - WE LIKEY ESPANHA!!!
Had a great day yesterday with a perfect spot by rio Ardila - good times wih herd of goats and sheep's bell orchestra, mixed with blasting Spanish tunes
from the other side of the bridge..."quantanameeeee-eerra!"..
Melissa tried out her fishing line which we got from ca't remember where, didn't catch anything but was an attraction in herself.
Today we've only cycled 10 km..or rather pushed Pedro and Bella up the mountain.
It was a torture, like working out in the oven..and we ran out of water..again.
The only things that kept us going was the knowledge of the existance of a chocolate cake in our pannier, other cyclists racing by and cheering and thinking
that there has to be a perfect downhill on the other side..hopefully ALL the way to town.
Real life wasn't as beautiful as expected..
Reaching the top, we gave each other high five for the great achievement, hopped on our horses and..and came across the most horrible dirt road and road
works in progress (which seemed to be in progress since the last century!)..and ALL the way to town..6 km
But we've made it and trying to cycle to next twn, get a room and relax..cos our legs are feeling a bit..funny. :)
hmmm..maybe we should be doing some sort of stretching or warm up..or something. Heh - we're in Spain!
PS. do not buy any cheap panniers. Brake quickly :)
Something's wrong with Bella as well, making weird sound, probably has had a front disc injury while falling over.
